2011 Acura TSX

2011 Acura TSX has a new wagon body style called the Sport Wagon. All TSXs will also get a little fuel economy, repair the exterior design, improved acoustic insulation and a new system of hard-drive-based navigation with a higher resolution display.

2011 Acura TSX continue in his role as a gateway model in Honda's premium brand, steady, although the player rather normal in four-cylinder sedan and sport sedan trim more interesting when equipped with a V6 available. But the biggest news to line the TSX in 2011 was the addition of the wagon model. Offering more luggage space than its competitors, ample storage and a flat floor that can accommodate items up to 70 inches, TSX Sport Wagon adds many welcome and elegant with a design that, frankly, less interesting every year.

The Sport Wagon comes standard with 201 TSX's horsepower, 2.4-liter inline-4 engine and five-speed automatic transmission. While fans may feel that this new Acura car rival to the sporty Audi A4 Avant and BMW 328i sedan, preferably by combining a V6 engine, manual transmission and four wheel, the reality is that the TSX Sport Wagon balanced performance, in almost every category as well as the economic dynamic superior fuel. Acura plans to offer only 4,000 units in North America, a conservative way to take the temperature of American enthusiasm for luxury cars from Japan, so getting on the list if you want it.
The Sport Wagon also added a new design perspectives on the TSX, as the roofline and sharply pointed, angle-shock front of the car gives the impression of speed even at rest. Acura TSX also has tamed the bill, the design of polarization of the grille and front, which had ruined what was otherwise a solid car under the plate. The front of the 2011 Acura TSX still looks sharp and techno, but overshot the metal significantly.

Overall, the TSX has a very good attitude in everyday driving, pleasant interior, an impressive amount of standard equipment, plus a navigation state-of-the-art and entertainment system. In the guise of four-cylinder engine, driving experience a bit boring - A4 and 3 series is more fun to drive. And perhaps worth looking loaded version of the Ford Fusion, Nissan Altima and the Volkswagen CC. With V6 and sport-tuned suspension and steering, though, the TSX gets more dynamic personality. In both cases, the TSX is worth a look, and is certainly one of the best luxury sedan and wagon on the market values.
Body style, trim level and options
2011 Acura TSX is the entry-level luxury compact sedan available in base V6 car and the level of equipment. Basic TSX and TSX Sport Sedan offers a standard equipment 17-inch alloy wheels, xenon lights, fog lights, sunroof, keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, tilt and telescopic steering column, eight-way power driver's seat including memory, power four -way adjustable passenger seat, leather upholstery, heated front seats, self-dimming rearview mirror and 60/40-split-folding backseat. Also standard are Bluetooth and seven-speaker sound system with CD player, satellite radio, additional audio jack and USB port. In addition to more horsepower and displacement, more powerful V6 added suspension, 18-inch wheels and road noise-canceling function for voice.

Technology package adds an optional rearview camera, navigation system hard-drive-based, voice recognition, real-time traffic and weather reports, 10-speaker Acura / ELS surround sound system with single CD player, digital music storage and, for the Car, a power liftgate.

Powertrains and Performance
The front-wheel-drive TSX is available with a choice of two engines. The four-cylinder 2.4-liter makes 201 horsepower and 170 pound feet of torque (172 Nm when equipped with manual transmission), while the 3.5-liter V6 providing 280 horsepower and 254 lb-ft. A five-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters is standard on all Sport models, while the six-speed manual is available for only four-cylinder sedan.

Estimated EPA fuel economy estimates for the TSX sedan, four-cylinder automatic mpg city/31 mpg highway, 22 and 26 are combined, the manual version drops to 21/29/24. Cars reach 22/30/25, while the V6 entered on 19/28/23.
Safety

Standard safety equipment includes ABS brakes 2011 TSX (Brake Assist), stability control, traction control, active headrests, front airbags and full length curtain airbags seat. In the brake Edmunds, both four and six cylinder versions TSX rises 133 meters to stop from 60 mph. That's at least 10-15 meters longer than we expected similar sport sedans. The Sport Wagon has been stopped in 127 feet.

2011 Acura TSX has not been evaluated by the new government, more severe crash test 2011 procedure. its ranking in 2010 for the sedan (which is not comparable with 2011 tests) produce the five-out-of-five stars for all frontal and side impact tests. Also won the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety highest rating of "good" in both frontal offset and side tests accidents.

Interior Design and Special Features
Although slightly weaker than its predecessor, 2011 Acura TSX is covered with buttons and switches, especially on the center console. Most of the control and command quite intuitive and logical, however. Equipped with technology package, the TSX offers an excellent navigation system (now hard-drive-based 2011) with voice commands, real-time traffic, weather and a large LCD screen with a second controller. The upper Acura / ELS surround-sound audio system is definitely good enough to justify the additional cost.

New heating / cooling vents in the rear center console upgraded to provide rear passenger comfort. Center console is now climate controlled body, it is better to drink from a run to McDonald's to hold either cold or hot. Interior room in the sedan are good, with only slightly less volume than the larger and far more neon than competitors like the Lexus IS 250. Measures 12.6 cubic foot trunk. The Sport Wagon offers more space, providing nearly 61 cubic feet of cargo space with rear seats folded down. That betters both Audi A4 Avant and BMW 3-Series sedan.

Driving impressions
2011 Acura TSX calm and quiet on the highway thanks to improved sound insulation and thicker glass rides. Power of four-cylinder engine is adequate, but compared to other entry-level luxury car, this left the TSX with the character rose somewhat excited. Sport Wagon V6 and more temperamental because of their sport-tuned suspension and, in the case of V6, gutsier acceleration. Both transmission works well, the manual is easy thanks to a clutch of short trips and linear throttle tip-in, while the automatic provides smooth shifts good.
